Agenda Item 3.1 - Ordinance 25-085 An Bond Ordinance providing for various capital improvements to Municipal Buildings, Parks, and Roads, by and in the City of Jersey City, in the County of Hudson, State of New Jersey; reappropriating $13,990,982.44 in excess bond proceeds from various bond ordinances, not needed for their original purpose, to finance the cost thereof. Reappropriating excess bond proceeds to finance the undertaking of various capital improvements, consisting of (i) various municipal building improvements, including, but not limited to, (a) the replacement of the roof at City Hall, (b) the renovation or replacement of the roof, kitchens, restrooms, windows, and HVAC systems at various fire houses and police precincts, (c) the renovation or replacement of the roof and boiler, emergency repairs, as applicable, and the renovation of the facades, including repointing at various municipal buildings, (a) improvements to McGinley Square Plaza and (b) various improvements to miscellaneous park facilities, including the installation of surfacing and the renovation or installation of playgrounds and benches, (iii) various roadway improvements, including, but not limited to, (a) the acquisition and installation of traffic signals and rapid flashing beacons at various locations throughout the City and (b) general roadway construction and repairs, including the acquisition and installation of lighting, the repair of specialty surfaces at plazas throughout the City, and other renovations not eligible for State of New Jersey funds, and (iv) other various municipal capital improvements. Agenda Item 3.2 - Ordinance 25-086 An Ordinance of the Municipal Council of the City of Jersey City adopting amendments to the Journal Square 2060 Redevelopment Plan and the Saint John's Redevelopment Plan. Agenda Item 3.4 - Ordinance 25-088 A Franchise Ordinance granting permission to 88 Regent Street, LLC, its successors and assigns, to have private improvements in the Public right-of-way of Regent Street adjacent to the property located at 88 Regent Street, Jersey City, New Jersey, identified on the Tax Maps of the City of Jersey City as Block 14002, Lots 1.02 and 1.06. |

Agenda Item 4.4 - Ordinance 25-081 INTRODUCED - July 16, 2025, 9-0 An Ordinance authorizing the City of Jersey City (City) to acquire certain real property known as Block 27503, Lot 13 on the City’s Tax Map located at the foot of Chapel Avenue from Liberty National Development Co, LLC for the purposes of ensuring continued ferry service to the public. To Authorize the Agreement to Acquire the Property upon which the Port Liberte Ferry is Situated for $1.00 Agenda Item 4.5 - Ordinance 25-082 INTRODUCED - July 16, 2025, 9-0 An Ordinance of the Jersey City Municipal Council amending Chapter 163- Firearms and Weapons to add Article VI- Firearm Storage Requirements. The City of Jersey City has been called upon by the community group “Everytown for Gun Safety” to establish fire-arm security laws within residences and has decided to amend and adopt fire-arm safety guidelines for residences. a. The owner and authorized user of a firearm shall, at all times that the firearm is not carried by or under the control of the owner or authorized user, secure the firearms as follows: 1. In a securely locked box, container, safe, cabinet or other suitable placein order to render such firearm inaccessible by any person other than the owner or other lawfully authorized user; or 2. Secured with a trigger lock, tamper resistant mechanical lock or other safety device, properly engaged in order to render such firearm inoperable by any person other than the owner or other lawfully authorized user. |
